The Shepherd’s Loft is a small, family-run touring caravan site in Frodesley, Shropshire, set within our working family farm.
Farming is at the heart of what we do. Our farm has been part of our family life for many years, and today we continue to keep sheep and cattle, with the seasons and the animals dictating much of our day-to-day life.
There’s always something happening on the farm. Spring brings lambing and calving, summer is filled with haymaking and harvest, while autumn and winter bring their own challenges and jobs. Farming isn’t always glamorous, but we love the lifestyle, the countryside and the feeling of being part of something that has been going on for generations.
Alongside the sheep and cattle, our farm is home to a rather entertaining collection of animals, including donkeys, goats, chickens and ducks. They’re very much part of farm life here and often provide our guests with some of their favourite holiday memories!
We also produce fresh farm eggs, available from our honesty box at the top of the drive, giving you the chance to take a little taste of the farm home with you.
When we created The Shepherd’s Loft, we wanted to share our love of the countryside with other people. Rather than building a large holiday park, we’ve kept things small, with just eight touring pitches, allowing our guests to enjoy the space, peace and character of a real working farm.
You might see the sheep being moved, tractors heading off to the fields or the cattle grazing in the distance. Depending on the time of year, you may even arrive in the middle of one of the many jobs that keep a farm running!
For us, that’s part of the charm. The Shepherd’s Loft isn’t simply a place to park your caravan — it’s a chance to experience a little bit of rural life.
We’re incredibly lucky to farm in Frodesley, surrounded by the beautiful Shropshire countryside and close to the Shropshire Hills. From the farm you can enjoy views towards Lodge Hill and The Wrekin, while some of Shropshire’s best walking, fishing and attractions are just a short drive away.
But you don’t have to go anywhere to enjoy your stay. Sit outside, listen to the birds, watch the animals, enjoy the views and let the countryside do the rest.
We’re proud to farm here, proud to run The Shepherd’s Loft, and delighted to share our little corner of Shropshire with you.
