A small site of 8 pitches all with EHU which met our needs for a quiet 3 night stay (we were the only ones there) to visit the Ironbridge attractions, Shrewsbury (tour of the old gaol) and RAF Cosford museum. Small but clean facilities. Warm welcome. Nice pub (Horseshoes) where we ate, a few miles away in Dorrington.

This is a no thrill little place, no WiFi etc just turn up and chill, views are fantastic. Walk around the lake a, say hello to the chickens sheep horse and may be a cow or 2. There’s things to go and see locally like castle ruins and Parliament building, all worth the effort.Locally produced jams and egg sold at gate all very nice

Ideal for a stop over whilst visiting the Shrewsbury Festival as a day visitor. We arrived late afternoon and welcomed by one of the owners who allowed us to change pitch so able to park easily as I’d taken the Campervan to the festival. The facilities were adequate for the amount of guests on site. One shower and toilet. The wash up area could do with a little attention as there was a leaky pipe which splashed you while doing the washing up. Sounds like a complaint but just letting the owners know about it. The site was lovely and a great retreat from urban life. Fresh eggs and Homemade made jam for sale, wonderful.

The campsite was lovely, nice and small. Easy check in with just driving into the pitch and very friendly owner.Would stay again.Just be aware there is one bathroom (with toilet and shower), wasn’t an issue but can take some time for everyone to use in the morning.Only stayed for one night so didn’t do much in the area.

We had a lovely stay for 1 night on our way north the lady was very friendly and welcoming came to visit and check everything was fine. The free range eggs were delicious, we had a walk around the fishing lake. There is one toilet and shower which was clean and tidy, there was only one other motorhome. Very peaceful and quiet. And then a large Hare decided to pass by our MH. We were told there’s a family of them which come and go regularly, very enjoyable

A really lovely location. A small site with one bathroom facility, but that was adequate for the number of pitches. The owners were very helpful. There were no villages, pubs, cafes or shops within walking distance, but as long as you know that it was perfect.A couple of lovely walks direct from the site.

Had a two day stopover on our way to Ironbridge. We were made very welcome by Claire on arrival to this little campsite. Very clean shower and toilet cabin which we had to ourselves as we were the only ones on site 😉, not sure how it would work with a full site. We had a lovely stay here yesterday. Beautiful small cosy campsite with I think 8 pitches . We enjoyed our breakfast with a stunning view of the Shropshire hills . We bought strawberry and raspberry jam from the honesty shop which tasted amazing! Didn’t use the shower so can’t comment but toilet all good. It has two picnic tablets in the middle. We were greeted on arrival which was lovely .Lovely little stay- thank you!

Not many small private sites or CL's have a smart all in one shower, toilet, washroom as this has. Kept in spotless order. Plenty of room for 8 tourers all with electric and furthest walk for water or toilet block is no more than 50 yards. Well worth a visit with plenty to look at in the surrounding area of Shropshire.
Reviewer: Dave B | Wed 25th May 2022 | 2 years ago
Loved this site the moment we arrived. Host met us on arrival with our pre paid arrival hamper (good value. The local milk was exceptionally good and the sausages and eggs were very tasty).Site is small but plenty of space.Nice walks and cycle rides around the area plus the bonus of a most interesting castle dating back to Edward I take a picnic.Hosts were great chickens were curious and the Carp are waiting in the pond for my next visit. Oh and it's not every day that a Red Kite pops up just above your motorhome giving a great view of a rare bird of prey.Loved this place and will return soon with fishing rods.Site has only been active for under a year but hits all the right notes.Remember it's a working farm so accept that working dogs will bark, chickens will cluck and cocks will crow and it all adds up to a great place to pitch up sit back and take it in.Well done Clare and the team, you have created something quite special.

I liked that this was a small site - 8 pitches. Toilet and shower block was clean and well equipped (and heated!) - although because both are in the same cabin, you have to fit in around other people (we were all very friendly about it!). There is a lovely walk from the site to Acton Burnell, which has a ruined castle to explore. There's an honesty box for eggs from the farm and delicious home made jams. I would stay there again.

Very quiet site very clean away from a busy lifestyleOnly downside theres only 1 toilet with the shower in the same block so if theres a camper having a shower no one can go to the toilet witch courses a long wait for the toilet

Booked to stay and turned up after 1pm. We were in pitch 5 which is in the corner and was fine. Trying to park the car without blocking the entrance to the next pitch was a tad awkward. The diagram of the pitch layout makes it look a bit bigger than it is.Shower was small but again for the number of pitches it’s fine.Plenty in the local area to area. Nice welcome upon arrival.Still don’t understand with most sites why you have to be off site 2hrs prior to someone being allowed on.Would recommend to others looking for walks in cardingmill valley. Basic site but price was much better than most places trying to rip people off for a nights stay.

Beautiful clean campsite with stunning views.Lovely area and not far from carding mill valley (lovely walks and views) and Shrewsbury (beautiful town)I was initially concerned the one loo and shower would be a problem, but even with a mostly booked site, we didn’t seem to have a problem or be waiting at any pointNo hot water for washing / shelter for when it rains, but we were advised it’s a work in progress and due to go in soon.Farm Dogs did bark early but wouldn’t have noticed this particularly if we weren’t awake with our son already.Wonderful hoStess. Thanks Clare ! :)
